We've already shown you some of the biggest games coming this year, as well as some brand-new titles that certainly look interesting. Now, the attention of our 2013 sneak preview turns to some tried and true titles. These are some old friends, coming back to say hello.
The quirky action/strategy/ant sim is back to harvest the benefits of glorious HD.
I don't know about you, but I'm more than ready to terrorize yet another ecosystem with the ferocious ant/plant-like species that, on command, can attack enemies 10x their own size, break down gates, throw bombs, and other constructive activities. Pikmin 3 literally doubles your fun with several layers of depth and scope that could only be done on Wii U.
Ready for launch?
Pikmin 1 and 2 were two great GameCube games and some of Miyamoto's most original efforts. A strategy game involving anthropomorphized flower-sprouting plants that could be commanded to retrieve spaceship parts and attack enemies was completely unconventional to say the least. It was also a lot of fun.
